Build A Beehive Honey Calculator
Last updated:
Use this calculator to estimate how much honey your bees produce per minute based on their stats and flower placement. Understanding these numbers helps you decide which flowers to prioritize near your hive and whether relocating a flower would meaningfully boost income.

How Honey Production Works
Each bee in Build A Beehive travels between its assigned flower and the hive, carrying pollen that converts to honey. Two bee stats determine efficiency: Speed (how fast the bee moves in meters per second) and Carry (how much pollen each trip transports). The distance between the flower and hive determines trip frequency ?closer flowers mean more round trips per minute.
For example, a Tulip Bee with 14 m/s speed and 130 pollen carry placed 10 meters from the hive completes roughly 0.47 round trips per second (speed divided by round-trip distance). That translates to about 3,660 pollen per minute, or approximately 3,660 honey units before other modifiers.
Reference Bee Stats
| Bee | Speed | Carry | Source Flower |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daisy Bee | 12 m/s | 5 | Daisy |
| Tulip Bee | 14 m/s | 130 | Tulip |
| Cactus Bee | 18 m/s | 1,000 | Cactus Flower |
Optimization Tips
Use this calculator to compare scenarios before rearranging your garden. Try reducing distance from 30m to 10m for the same bee ?the output increase is often dramatic. Then compare upgrading from a Daisy Bee to a Tulip Bee at the same distance to see whether a flower upgrade or relocation gives better returns.
